For development purposes I have set-up a duplicate, offline, copy of the skeleton of ollicle.com on my Mac at home. OS X makes this pretty painless, I may document some key pointers I stumbled upon setting mine up in a later post.

Switching between the local and server based versions of the Movable Type configuration form, it occured to me that it would be very easy to get the two confused.

To counter this likelyhood I made a subtle change to styles.css for the local version. A quick search and replace (case insensitive) changed every occurance of #fff to #efe. The previously white background is now a soft green on every page of the local version. No more confusion!
