Upgrading the future

While listening to clever people discuss our collective future on The Science Show (ABC Radio National), I’m messing with the future of this site.

Having now upgraded to MT 3.1 I have some drastic template alterations to make. Hopefully the implementation of these new comment forms is less bumpy than the next twenty years is likely to be for many of us. Despite these obstacles I’m excited by the possibilities.

Speaking of new stuff - this is my first spin of the beta of Ecto 2.0. My first impressions are a big two thumbs up, the rearrangement of the posting form makes a great deal more sense. I’ll reserve comment on the many other interesting (perhaps revolutionary) features once I have explored them.
